This paper explores mysticism as seen in Ernesto Cardenal’s El Evangelio en Solentiname (The Gospel Solentiname), aiming at both defining Cardenal a revolutionary and traditional mystic, shaped by Thomas Merton’s influence Latin American political circumstances.
